      Gusher (Special) S Sgt Varden [Valden] A Barnson 22 an air corps radio operator on a B24 is reported missing over German territory since December 17th according to word received last week by his mother Mrs Bert Haynes of Gusher. Entering service in the latter part of January 1943 he reeived his basic training at Tyndall Field Florida. He completed his training at Mountain Home Ida. He embarked from the East Coast in August following a ten day furlough. He was first in India and later sent to Italy where he was based until he was reported missing. Born at Price on March 27 1922 Sgt Barnson was a graduate of the Roosevelt High School.
