Comments: I have been reviewing the letters my father, Royal Allred, wrote home to his mother during WWII. In one of the letters, dated November 26, 1942, mentions that he met up with Garth Massey. He says, "Well I have found Garth Massey and we are going to church next Sunday. It sure seems good to get with someone you can talk to that speaks your own language."
Dad was in Chicago, Illinois, being trained as a radio operator.
In your history of Garth Massey, do you have any additional information of their relationship or the nature of the training and school they were attending?
Regards,
Tom Allred
